Premium Baker's Salt


Description

Premium Baker's Salt is a screened, granular, white crystalline solid. It is manufactured by vacuum evaporation of raw untreated brine.

Compliance
Premium Baker's Salt is of food grade quality, complying fully with the standards for Sodium Chloride as set forth in the Food Chemicals Codex. It is approved for direct use in meat and poultry products by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service, and is certified as kosher for Passover.

Additives
Premium Baker's Salt contains water soluble Yellow Prussiate of Soda, which is added to improve caking resistance in accord with 21CFR 172.490. As an incidental additive, Yellow Prussiate of Soda is exempt from labeling on foods containing this salt product (21CFR 101.100(a)(3)).

Applications
Premium Baker's Salt is intended for a variety of enduse applications. It is particularly well suited for use in dry salt dispensing and brining applications. Food uses include baking, cheese manufacture and meat processing.

Packaging
Premium Baker's Salt is packaged in 50lb. and 80lb. multiwall kraft shipping containers which incorporate polyethylene film liners for added moisture protection. It is also available in bulk.

Methods of analysis
Methods of analysis are taken from the American Society for Testing Materials designation E 53475. Copies of analytical methods are available upon request.
